Blackberry Playbook Internet Tablet


Recently, RIM (Research In Motion) has launched its new Internet tablet called Blackberry Playbook which, useless to say, aims to compete with the famous Apple iPad. Let’s see what its specs are and how much you will have to pay to buy it.
Let me tell you that the new Blackberry Playbook has gat a lot of good sides and features which make it a really worth iPad competitor. A strong point is the Flash (Adobe Flash 10.1 at the time I am writing) support which , as you know, it is not available on the iPad. Other features include:

•Brand new OS: BlackBerry Tablet OS which offers full OpenGL and POSIX support and web standards such as HTML5, for example.
•7-inch, 1024 x 600 multitouch, capacitative screen.
•1 GHz dual-core processor.
•1 GB RAM.
•Two HD camera
it is able to support 1080p HD video recording. 3 MP front camera and 5 MP rear camera.
•Video Conferencing with HD Quality and Stereo sound.
•Wi-Fi – 802.11 a/b/g/n.
•Bluetooth 2.1.
•Connectors: microHDMI, microUSB, charging contacts.
•Ultrathin and light: Measures 5.1″x7.6″x0.4″ (130mm x 193mm x 10mm)-
•It is able to play the following files: MPEG4, WMV , DivX formats, MP3, AAC, WMA.
Despite there is not word about its price, analysits say that it will range between $400 and $500. The new Blackberry Playbook should hit the shelves during the first semester 2011.
